Default CO -> OR -> Back to CO

    Heya,

Just a quick obligatory intro. I'm from Colorado, but took a 5 year hiatus to Oregon for work and am now just a few weeks away from being back to Colorado. I wasn't quite as into firearms when I lived in Colorado before, but took up more interest while in Oregon and had a great time on the Northwest Firearms forum. I was looking for a similar community in Colorado and was referred here.

While I don't regret moving to Oregon (met the love of my life), living in downtown Portland during the last couple years has been absolutely crazy so we're ready to get back into the mountains for a slower pace. Let me know if you want any crazy stories, I promise you Portland's even nuttier than you think.

Here's a pic I took of my favorite spot in Oregon. I'll definitely miss surfing!

I had the pleasure of visiting Portland last year. The fires were crazy and the entire city was almost dark even during the day. It was also at the height of the riots or whatever you want to call them. Oregon in general is a beautiful place but the people generally weren?t to my liking.

Welcome to pumping your own gas again!

Welcome Nate. As I was reading your intro I was thinking "I'll bet this guy has some stories.." and then I got to your offer. When you have time to share them, I'm sure we'd all get a kick out of hearing a bit about what you saw and experienced.

That was my reaction when I read Nate's response. I think he'll fit in here beautifully.

Nate, I'm sure you've been back to CO since you left 5 yrs ago and seen that this state has changed tremendously in those last 5 yrs. This is no longer the state most of us fell in love with and I hope you won't be disappointed with coming back. Then again, nothing here is quite as bad as Portland, yet.

    Hello and welcome back!
I was out in Coos Bay a couple of months ago for family and wish I could have spent some real time out there going fishing and stuff.
    Enjoy!
