Default Augason Farms closing for 90-days

The supply chain breakdown has them unable to take any new orders. They are suspending business for 90-days to try to get a hold of things.

Bulk food storage suppliers are out of materials.

Countries all over the world are facing significant energy shortages and blackouts.

    Inflation is out of control.

Supply of everything from cars to electronics to construction materials are basically non-existent.

And to top it all off half the world has gone full-blown tyrannical.

We're in a lot bigger trouble than anyone will admit.

Get your house in order if you haven't already.

Amazon seems to have plenty of Augason farms products. Plenty of toilet paper and meat in the stores.

At what price point? I see people on a few smoking & grilling forums. Proudly showing off the $5.99 per lb briskets they "scored"

"plenty" is subjective. I've noticed things at Costco looking a little "light" lately. I go once a week, same day every week and every week there is something they used to always have that is out of stock.

Checkout the walk-in. Normally contains pallets to the ceiling. And the food on the floor usually only has a single pallet under it and but is still at shoulder height. Clever arranging there to make it look like the same amount as usual.

The supply chain is in shambles. I deal with it daily. The economy is in BIG trouble. Don't be fooled into complacency.

That's because they stock it at Amazon warehouses. But when the manufacturer stops shipping, Amazon won't have stock for long.

I did hear about the big increase on MRE style food a month ago. Keep an eye on LDS food stores - if they go off line like they did over a year ago you know there are things are not so good.

The Augason Farms thing could be massive run on their goods, and the supply can not keep up with demand. Or it could be something else all together.

With the end of growing season within the US and issues with imports could be one of things that is hitting the food shelves.

Default Am I too sarcastic & cynical?

A lot of my neighbors are raising cattle, sheep, geese. etc. The zoning authorities used to bitch about that. Now the building boom is here, they are busy collecting building permit fees and don't say shit if you have livestock. Or an RV with family living in it. I wouldn't be surprised if institutions are bulk buying these survival foods. Same as people walking out of Wally World with two shopping carts of ass wipe. Still no ammo on the shelves...

The .gov kept a pretty good lid on the space aliens they killed. Mabbe they are just stocking up? 3.5 trillion will buy a lot of (food) infrastructure!

Better check their online storehouse. OUT OF STOCK. for most canned items, as of 9 this a.m.
