Not gonna work. Now multiply that by dozens and dozens and dozens of similar size projects, just in Denver. Then it's clear what a major problem we have on our hands.
My company goes through roughly 65k+ residential, white, 15A GFCI receptacles each year. Plus 20A and weather resistant and other colors. Now we're only allowed to buy half of what we need from the manufacturer. And we're about ready to run out... No building passes inspection without them (or GFCI breakers that are also impossible to get). And when buildings don't pass inspection, they can't be occupied. When they can't be occupied, owners lose shit tons of money. When owners lose money, building stops.
Now add the same problem for dozens of other building materials...
We're FUBAR.
