Default Spyderco Autonomy or Benchmade Claymore

I'm looking to buy my first OTS auto knife. I've narrowed it down to the the Spyderco Autonomy 2 or the Benchmade Claymore. It will be for EDC/duty carry. I've felt and both in hand and am happy with the deployment strength of both, but I am having a hard time deciding, so I figured I'd ask if anyone has experience with either or both.

Pretty sure I have an Autonomy in stock at the shop, if you want to lay hands on before buying...Be aware that Spyderco is having sourcing issues for the operating mechanisms, so if it ain't in stock, you aren't gonna see it before June.

I swung by Spydercos factory outlet in Golden and got a good feel for it. I like that it opens with authority. Unfortunately, they'll only sell them on their online store and they're currently out of stock. A buddy of mine has the Benchmade, which also opens up forcefully and feels in the hand. The other benefit of spyderco is that I can just stop by their factory to have it sharpened.

Thanks for the offer, but I've got a hefty gift card for the Spyderco store and was going to use that to buy a new fancy blade. I ended up going with the claymore, so I'll have to spend the gift card on more Spydercos in the future!

Not to throw a wrench into your decision making but I have a couple of Pro-Tech knives and if I were in the market for another auto knife I would probably buy another. They are solid and well made. Fit, finish, and function are superb.

Sorry for the double post, using the phone and I'm technology-impaired. I only briefly have checked out the Pro-Tech. I think the only one I care for aesthetically is their TR-3. unfortunately, I've never paid hands on one to see if I like.

I also liked the MicroTech LUDT, but am having a hard time getting past their giant obnoxious logo on the blade.

I have a Sprint and an SBR. Both, especially the Sprint, have short blades but that?s kind of what I like to carry.

The Sprint is really tiny and you hardly know it?s there. Very discreet and excellent for the usual task that everyone uses it for which is opening boxes.

The SBR blade I believe is under 3? so definitely more of a typical EDC than some sort of tactical knife.

I have been eyeballing the Godson but haven?t pulled the trigger on one yet.
