Damage Factory carries some. Can’t say if there’s better or worse around.

If you consider the Springs local, US Patriot supply has carriers. Steer clear of Condor unless it’s for air soft or Halloween.

Most of the stuff I have seen around the Springs is what I would consider "lowest common denominator" armor. Steel plates in cheap, single stitched, nylon carriers. AT Armor and OP Tactical both sell HESCO plates (cost effective, good quality) and decent carriers. You don't have to buy Crye all-the-things, but get something that's not going to fall apart in any conditions other than sitting in the basement.

Hella yeah! My parents live down that way. I will check that place out when I'm back next month. Plus I get to hit up specialty sports and supply.

I have not seen many shops carrying anything id want to buy except last ditch. Lots of cheap overly complicated carriers and steel. At best usually the ultra heavy but cheap low end hesco lv 4s.

I think it's hard to distribute the good carriers as those places mostly sell direct.

Imo but online, prices going to be cheaper and more options. Just do your research or look for suggestions. I didn't realize i hated my first carrier until id time to work with it and load it up. Seeing it in store likely wouldn't have saved me from buying it.

There used to be a little shop a few blocks from Damage Factory that sold Velocity Systems and others, but I can’t find them on a map or find them on the dealer list. Most likely closed.

Also in the Springs there was one adjacent to Family in the corner of that plaza, Hesco plates and I can’t remember the nylon brands. Closed.

Short story long, probably not the easiest retail speciality.

Check out SafeLife online. When I purchased mine, you put in your height and weight and they tell you what soze will fit. If you receive it and it does not fit properly, they will send you the correct size. I have been wearing mine for 4 years now, it is comfortable.
