Default Old tools- what to do with them

I am cleaning out storage and consolidating all of my old tools.

I was a mechanic for about a decade plus all of the remodeling crap I have acquired over the years, and all the stuff I inherited from Dad. And Grandpa before that.

I am going to pare it all down to a few nice sets and jettison all the oddball mismatched nonsense.

What to do with all the leftovers? It's in a storage unit so I can't have a garage sale. Taking pictures and trying to sell it is likely a waste of time. I doubt a pawn shop would want socket sets with all the useful ones missing.

I hate to toss them in the dumpster, but that looks like where it's headed unless you guys have any ideas.

Talk to the trade schools in the area. Sure there's a few people who would appreciate them.

At Vrain school district has a high school trade program. Some of the kids might want them.
