    Default Straight from my mother-in-law mattress...help with "old " banknotes.

    Well, my mother-in-law decided to cash out her stashed money.
    There are all kind of notes with older designs.
    I guess a bank would exchange them for current notes.
    What I am trying to figure out is if they have any value beyond nominal value.
    I really don't know much about numismatic, and would not know who to ask without getting ripped off.
    Anyone can help?
