Just a heads up, today is the last day to pay if you have any issues.
Glad you were able to get your stuff paid for. Would have been a shame to lose the moose tag.

Guess by the time you draw moose here, might as well go to AK. Good luck on your hunts!

Woohoo. Good luck on your AK. moose hunt. I've gone twice and was successful both times. Hoping to make it back up there in the next year or two to do it again.
It's always jaw dropping when a guy walks up on a dead moose. A whole lotta animal to pack. But, IMO, I don't think there's anything better in the meat department to eat.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

I lived up there for 3 years. It was great. I go back for spring bear every year, but this year my buddy talked me into coming back for moose. Certainly a chore to pack them out. Took 3 of us 3 trips for the last moose. Packing out in waders is way more fun talking about than actually doing.

Just got word from CPW I drew an either sex elk tag for 4th rifle in 028! I guess looking at the left over quantity/odds paid of this time. Hopefully the fire they had a year or two ago didn’t ruin my intended hunting grounds… guess I’ll be doing some more scouting this summer!!! Can’t wait!

I received my cow elk tag for 12/23/23 and will also get a bull tag. But I again missed on deer in the secondary draw. Rats.

My friend in Cordova drew an Alaska cow moose license and picked up a Ruger .30-06 in the local police auction. She will air boat to an island off Cordova for the hunt. She's taken a few moose but now needs a bigger freezer before fall.

Seeing that all of my rifles are milsurps/FALs/AKs I needed a new rifle for my pronghorn hunt in October.. Picked up a Howa 1500 Carbon Stalker and a Burris ATXIII scope.

Good luck to all! Health issues make it a slim chance I'll ever hunt again. I'm lucky I can still walk my dog, and picking his fatass up is risky. Hiking offroad and rasslin' big dead animals - nope, no chance.
