COAR Family,
Over the past 9 months we've slowly been working to clean up the site from all of the abandoned accounts. To that end, all accounts that haven't been active in the past 2 years have been getting either disabled or deleted from the system. This is a slow and ongoing process.
These actions are to protect the site as open and inactive accounts offer a hack-able vulnerability which we are trying to negate to continue to offer the best forum experience possible for our members.
If an inactive account has at least 25 posts, the account will be disabled. These accounts can be re-enabled if you contact the staff and make the request. This can be accomplished by calling us or emailing us directly if you have our information, passing the message on through another member who you have contact information for, or using the site "Contact Us" link on the site main page.
If an inactive account has fewer than 25 posts, the account will be deleted. These accounts can not be recovered!
REMEMBER: No posts made within the site Trading Post count towards your overall post count. To reach the 25+ posts to protect your account you will need to make the posts elsewhere on the site.
Members who are deleted or disabled with a Trading Post Feedback thread will have their Feedback thread moved into an Archive sub-forum within the Feedback forum.
We want everyone who is a member here to always be able to access the site, but we do need to take these measures against the growing cyber threat. Life has a way of getting in the way of our doing the things we enjoy, such as coming onto the COAR site - so please protect your account. If you wish to keep your account, you can do so simply enough by increasing your post count to 25+. Better yet, come back onto the site from time to time to see and/or participate in the new information or shenanigans presented here.
In the mean time, be safe and keep your powder dry.
