Recommendation for .308 barrel threading in the metro area?
I have been going through the threads but couldn't find any recent one...
I have a Rem 700 SPS that needs to get the barrel threaded.
I have the muzzle device and it will be mounting a Griffin Optimus 9 suppressor.
Who is the current go-to for such a job?

They do nice work, very happy with the upgrade they did on my old 18T AAC can.

I had 2 AAC cans converted to HUB by Nick and a pin-weld on my Noveske 14.5 Upper for the new mount (Xeno).
Was going to SBR it until I realized every other lower is SBR and I'd have to paper it to go out of state.

Check with Danger Close Armament they do alot of gun modifications and if they don't do barrel threading they may know a reputable person
Since Birt retired, Fritz at black canyon customs. Used to work for MHSA, IIRC Santa fe and hampden is the rough location I think, been a while. Couple of F-class and benchrest buddies have been happy with his work.

Well for starters, he's laid up and has been mostly going out of business from what I've seen.
He had been farming most of his smithing work out to ECCO until they had a falling out. Can't say/don't know how he was getting any of it done after that. I probably shouldn't say any more since I don't know the whole story.
