    Default What It This?

Besides bad spelling in the title...

Was looking at a property today and came across something I haven't seen.

Condo utility room. 1/4 inch shaft. 6 inches long. The end has two splines on it.

It's about 5 feet off the ground. I did not attempt to turn it.

    Any ideas?

It looks to be in a stud, judging by the possible nail pops below it.

It’s a screwdriver shaft that is embedded in the skull of the victim who is encased in the foundation.

Congrats- you found Jimmy Hoffa. Geraldo will be calling you any moment.

    Screwdriver or similar shank.
Seriously though the prior probably drove it into the wall to be a heavy duty hanger.

Bust the drywall out and let us know..

Hmmm, it could be a screw driver pounded in to the stud and missing it's handle.

    Well, shit.

I have broken enough screwdrivers I should have recognised it.

Good call guys, and thanks. It has been "driving" me nuts all day.
