I like it. Too many blue flags with seals on them. Is that a beehive or some sort of igloo on it?

For the people of Utah, the beehive?symbolizes the Utah community as each person in Utah works together to support and help one another and to create a successful industry. Industry was adopted as Utah's state motto in 1959. It is listed on these statues as well as on Utah's state seal and state flag.

    Was it 1847 or 1896?

Colorado should sue. Those look like our mountains in the background.

I always thought the beehive was an LDS/Mormon thing... no?
the flag looks good to me. Should be faster/cheaper to weave or print too with fewer fine details.

The first article I read said it was adopted in 1911. Further reading shows they have a a lot of different iterations of their flag including as recently as 2011.

So, they fell for the current minimalism logo trend and turned their state flag in to a tshirt. How many years before the next graphic artist comes in and convinces them to change it again?

That flag screams "Welcome to Utah, join the Hive!"

I'm not sure whether it looks more like a T-shirt or something that won a local/regional/state-level elementary school "Design a new state flag" competition.
