That's certainly the drawback of aluminum hoods in our area.

I was once stuck in traffic in a nasty hail storm alongside a coworker (people stopped under the overpass and completely blocked traffic forcing everyone to sit in the storm rather than have a chance to drive out of it). He was in his F150 and me in a Tundra. His truck got jacked up. Mine didn't have a single dent.

We lucked out in Ft. Collins...finally. I've lost two vehicles to hail. Both company cars, though! That's why I bought the truck I did, it just fits in the garage.
We did hear the storm last night, however, and constant flashes. did have a few close hits. It went on for hours.

I think we dodged it in Timnath too. But I also might have slept through the worst of it and woke up after any hail melted, so I don't know.

    Damnit.

Yep, we are in the same neighborhood and found some of those in my front yard this morning. Both our cars are in the garage, but my neighbor his Jeep and his daughter's BRAND NEW ford (transit sticker still) were in the driveway and the hoods went through a war zone............. His daughter was actually crying this morning he said.

It hailed hard here for 45 minutes and we got an inch and a half of hail on the ground, all under one inch diameter. This morning it was fused together in a sheet of ice everywhere. We've never gotten hail stones large enough to cause auto damage, but it can sure chew up the emerging vegetation.

After the storm last night, a large boar bear came through the yard at 10:33 pm, and again at 3:15 am this morning. Caught on two trail cams. The electric fence was energized and the bear didn't get closer than 25 ft. from the house, but a raccoon did get through. The raccoon looks as big as a cub bear.

Couldn't believe it this morning, damage was minor, couldn't have been more lucky, probably only one auto claim for body damage and one for a windshield.

Only marble sized hail for couple minutes today, nearby tornado was small and no damage for us.

We got hit today, we have damage in Franktown area, screens torn, siding damaged, and pieces of shingle in the yard. Trees and shrubs took a beating. I was in southlands area when it hit, all small hail there but several inches in the streets, glad I had 4WD.

As far as I know, we only got rain here in Parker, mostly light rain. Was pretty nasty about 3-3:30 when the storm hit, but calmed down quickly. No hail at all that I know of.
