    Default Cameo Range Day Report

Finally made it to the range while visiting family and made my appointment for the precision range. After a rocky start the previous day collecting data and having my scope base come loose, I managed to have a good day on the precision range. I made it out to the one mile target and got the cert for that. I ran out of time for the two thousand yard target. The precision range is definitely impressive. The pistol ranges are great too; they have several reactive steel targets to use. The steel targets on the 200 rifle range are difficult because they are on the mountain side and the up angle is pretty extreme. I'm looking forward to spending more time out there.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

I took a Colorado Precision class with Brian Whalen out there in March (2025). GREAT facility. The class as also great. Second time taking a class with Brian and his crew. It’s actually my third ‘class’ with Brian. Had to be almost 15 years ago a bunch of us were shooting pistols after a class at PWSA. Brian was working for a deployment (i think?) and took pity on us for our poor pistol shooting, and gave us some tips and spent a bit of time with us. I was so impressed with his teaching style and his competence, that I made sure to remember his name- and VIOLA he appears as a trainer years later.

What were you shooting that you were thinking about the 2k yard target?

Oh,I just realized how old this post is…
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.
