    Default Bedding a Manners

I bought a used Manners stock with mini chassis, and the seller said it hasn't been bed. It actually has been bed so my TL3 won't even fit in it because the recoil lug is a bit too wide. Any suggestions for removing the bedding compound? Would I need to rebed it or would I be able to just remove enough compound so the recoil lug will fit?

Take some measurements and see where material needs to be removed. Guessing the sides and muzzle end of the bedding around the recoil lug.

You might be able to get a dental pick under it and flick it out, but I doubt it.

That looks pretty poorly done, there is no support of the barrel ahead of the recoil lug and little behind it. Bedding just the lug does little. The goal of bedding is to create a totally homogeneous fit between the stock and receiver, essentially making it one.
You gotta do the nasty for the best results- get busy with your dremel and remove as much of the existing bedding and redo it (or have it redone).

It’s easier than it looks to bed it. Watch some videos. You can’t make it worse than it is.

You have no idea the fun involved with undoing the fun when somebody did that.
The action was saved, the stock……not so many much.

Wipe it all down with acetone first, then use JB Weld as your "bedding compound". Use 2x more than you need, since when it oozes out you can just use a dremel to cut off the extra.
