The only CF forends that I have used in ARs are made by PRI. They are awesome.

    PRI is great.

I used one of these Brigand Arms on an ultra lightweight build for a race gun. Not very practical and super ugly, but they sure are light.

How much weight difference are we talking about?

Mrs bo and minions have done well with the ultra lite rimfire, would like to consider ultra lite builds in center fire as well.

10 to 15 years ago, they were in the half to one pound lighter range. But as of today, it's only a few ounces different. We made the Carbon Feather, for both the AR15 and AR10 for years, but we no longer make them.

Ours were based on the DPMS barrel nut, and those are rare as hen's teeth now. If someone has a nut and wants a 2" OD Carbon Feather, I still have tube and sockets and I would get one together for you at cost, which is about $90.
