    Default Is it true?

Can you get in more trouble for getting your gun stolen from your car than the thief that took it? I just took a renewal class and heard this.

    Depends..

BTW, did the storage law get passed? If so in the future it will be likely that you will get treated worse than the person who stole it if you are in a dem controlled city

HB-24-1348 passed legislature, is on Governor's desk, will become law unless vetoed.

And yes, we deplorables will be treated worse than the thief.

Have these in all vehicles. Great for when travelling, or needing "secure storage"
Yes it's HF, it's under $20 AND here's the key words that should CYA, if your vehicle is stolen. Meets TSA Airline Checked Bag Firearm Guidelines

Maybe. It depends on your definition of trouble.

Not locking your handgun in a hard box is a civil infraction with a maximum $500 fine.

Stealing a gun worth less than $2000 is a criminal misdemeanor, more than that is a felony.

There may be additional charges such as vandalism and burglary.

There was a bill to make all gun theft a felony but it didn't pass because criminals are not responsible for their actions, systemic racism and oppression of the poor is.
