Default Kilroy's Workshop in Colo Sprgs

    https://kilroysworkshop.com/ords/r/e.../workshop/home

I took a class there with my dad this fall and bought one of my sons a knife making class for his Christmas present. The instruction that I got when I attended was good and the shop is awesome and kid friendly.

They are also running a BOGO sale on gift cards right now in case you want to make a knife/sword/axe/etc for half price (or take someone to a class).

Piqued my interest! This would be a great activity to do with my 32yo son and maybe even my 9yo grandson.

Curious which knife making class you got for your son.

We did the KW mini-series knife. I've never done any blacksmithing before so it was a learning experience for us both. I wish I has spent more time shaping the knife initially and I think explaining the whole process at the beginning would have been a worthwhile step for the instructor to add but we both had fun and now my son wants to build a small forge for the garage.

We both ended up with little neck knife sized blades. I would have worked the metal harder to stretch it out more if I was going to do it again, but hey learning occurred and the boy had a great time.

This place is running another BOGO sale on gift cards. Just FYI.
