Default Will He Stay or Will He Go?

Things are not looking rosy for good old regular Joe from Scranton.

More Democrats in power are calling for him to step aside. Is this done out of genuine concern for the country or concern for their own electability? Who knows.

After the debate, I read somewhere that pressure from other politicians is meaningless.

Once the donors start clambering for his ouster, that's when the shit hits the fan.

George Clooney was one of the hosts of a fundraising extravaganza a couple of weeks ago, raising $30 million. Yesterday, the New York Times published his letter claiming its time for Joe to go.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/10/o...c-nominee.html

"I love Joe Biden. As a senator. As a vice president and as president. I consider him a friend, and I believe in him. Believe in his character. Believe in his morals. In the last four years, he's won many of the battles he's faced.

But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can. It's devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe "big F-ing deal" Biden of 2010. He wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate.

We are not going to win in November with this president. "

Powerful stuff that will likely resonate more strongly with the democrat voters than the baseless assurances of competency coming from Nancy Pelosi and others.

I wonder if he does drop if the Repubs would be celebrating it much like the time they were absolutely celebrating the nomination of Barrack Hussein Obama vs. Hillary.

Most likely, you end up with worse.

    Default DEFCON 1?

If we get into armed conflict with the Russians, there will be war in US streets. Probably why Obama was at 10 Downing Street recently. US bases in Europe are being rearmed with fission weapons. I do not think POTUS is capable of leading in these circumstances. The GOP could field the FL gov and he could probably win. Or the typical intelligence community runs the country via the military industrial complex i.e. the Fed, Wall Street bankers & Pentagon. Maybe I should buy a satellite phone?

The tard on the ballot does not matter, the shithole cities in so-called swing states will deliver a margin that Josef Stain would applaud

The Dems. Have themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place. If they don't stick with Joe, Kamala would be the next most logical choice, BUT IF they skip over her, I think it would be disasterous for them, after all she is a she and a "black" she and they'll lose a lot of women and blacks without her leading the charge. BUT if they keep letting Biden show himself for what he is, it's about just as bad.
However it works out, it is very interesting watching the Dems skirm
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

Indeed, but unfortunately, the d's have been portraying her that way from the outset and it is only public perception that matters. For all the low info/uninformed voters, she ticks that box and they willingly accept it. If the R's call her out as Jamaican-Indian, and NOT African-American, they will likely be derided as racist and misogynistic. Lose-Lose for R's either way.

Lineal heritage aside, she's still a piss-poor candidate by any stretch of the imagination.

The democrat voters will tow the party line regardless of their candidate. They could put Mr. Potato Head on the ballot and they would show up in droves and vote for him.

Unfortunately, republicans aren?t as devoted to their party and if the republicans put forth a candidate that is less than appealing they will gladly waste their vote on some third party candidate that they like better.
