    Default Alofs single shot, break-open, bolt on magazine device .1920?s

    This is a device made by ALOFS MFG CO in 1924. It is mounted on a Stevens 91 (I think) 12 gauge. They were designed to mount on most single shot break open guns and were available in different gauges. The other gun shown is an Iver Johnson 16 g for comparison. It held 4 rounds, three in the long tube and one in the short. Needs cleaned up but looks complete.
