Default 72 hour waiting period and 4/1 tax question?

I've been looking and haven't found an exact answer, I forgot 4/1 was next Tuesdat. There's a handgun I'd like to buy but I've only found it in stock at Cabelas. 4.5" Mamba-x in case anyone knows another shop.

From what I've read here it sounds like if I go into Cabela's today, I won't get to pick it up until Tuesday 4/1 since they don't honor the 72 hours. With the new law would I pay today or on Tuesday and get hit with the new tax?

You pay for the firearm, taxes and fees today.

I just bought a gun at Sportsmans warehouse. They charged me for the gun and background check, then charged the tax when i picked up the gun. No explanation as to why. I think it has to do with refunds if I didn't past the background check. Overall Sportsman's wasn't a thrilling experience.

That’s weird, I just bought a gun from Sportsman warehouse Monday. I picked up my gun today, I payed for the background check today. I wasn’t charged the extra 6.5 percent tax.

Sorry to see CO has fallen so far. 72 hours? What next an unhoused tax on all firearms and related accessories?

I heard a rumor of required training, fees and approval from LEO’s to buy guns to reduce crime.

If it saves one life, isn't it worth it?
