    Default Gun shops closing?

Anybody heard anything about various metro gun shops readying to close? I've heard some rumors, but don't want to post falsehoods and get people in a panic.

If all of this crap actually goes into effect, I would definitely be concerned about those shops that are "tactically" focused. More broad spectrum shops will probably be fine.

I know Colorado Wholesale Sports closed, they posted on their instagram.

Talking to several friends/FFLs sales are way down, after the 3 day waiting passed one said he saw a 70% reduction in business. I know personally I've bough way fewer, I used to go into random gun shops when I was in a different part of town/the state and almost always walked away with something. But having to go back 3 days later killed that.

On top of that a few home based FFls I know said they aren't going to renew because with the state adding in fees/licenses its not worth it.

If this next batch of bills passes I fear it will kill everyone but the big box stores.

I think this is exactly what anti-gun folks intent with these laws. Make it so hard, annoying and taxed to buy or sell guns that no one wants to buy one.

Never heard of Colorado Wholesale Sports.. but yeah, the 3 day wait period definitely killed the spur of the moment "I've got money burning a hole in my pocket" walk in gun store purchases.

I think stores just need to broaden the selection of goods that they carry. Lord knows you wouldn't want to be able to walk in to a gun shop and actually try on a few different gun belts and accessories that probably bring a larger profit margin than the guns they sell but it seems impossible to find a shop that sells anything other than a random Condor vest once in a while. I hate buying stuff like that unseen over the internet.

I know of a newer LGS that is trying to sell his brink and mortar business. IMO, they opened at the wrong time in the wrong state and now with these new regulations and proposed laws... a sad situation.

I also bought a lot more in-state before the mandatory 3-day waiting period and ever increasing transfers fees, and online when all companies shipped to Colorado without hesitation and didn't charge the $0.28 delivery fee.

I can only hope those that vote for these things have their hobbies and fun activities restricted, regulated, and taxed.

I have a question about the three day and purchase restrictions. Will the AAFES PX and BX fall under these regulations of having to show proof of state required training? They are a federal organization and will they enforce the CO laws. I know they did not follow the plastic bag ban. The commissary give them out like candy and the ladies at work love when I bring a batch.
I have not bought a firearm on Ft. Carson or bothered to pay attention to there policies.

I've lived in Loveland two decades (about 3 decades total in Northern Colorado) and somehow didn't even know this was a thing before today. The fact that I live in the same town, I'm into guns and I've never even heard of them speaks more to how LGS are doing than adding 6.5% to the price tag of items in terms of remaining in business or not IMHO.

Same. Never heard of them . Sad to learn of their existence, on their death bed.
