EDC defense on the rural homestead

A question for non-urban and non-suburban forum members...

My 19 year old son and I are working in garage and in the immediately of our house on this glorious spring day at our family's foothills compound west of Boulder. For convenience and maneuverability, I have a .357 snub in my pocket loaded with Federal AE 158 gr JSPs and also a speed-strip of the same. Nothing on my immediate threat matrix makes me want anything else at the moment- all other sidearms and long-guns are inside the house.

What's a typical "at home" loadout for you folks in similar locations where hood rats and vagrants aren't on the typical daily local threat matrix?
