It's certainly a complex situation but we did NOT eliminate Iran's Nuke program. I am still trying to figure out why Israel agreed to a ceasefire... they must be running short on munitions.
I wish they would have kept going.

I figure they moved all the enriched bomb grade uranium to another location before the attack. I fear the best attack would have been a ground burst nuclear assault. Probably why the ODNI made the strange video. US forces could have totally destroyed the site with a nuclear weapon. Large trucks were seen on the roads near Fordow days before the strikes. I bet the Iranians dispersed what material they had enriched and an open source estimate was about 800 kilograms.

I think that president Trump made a foolish move in unilaterally declaring a cease fire, stymying the Israeli effort to destroy the Iranian nuclear assets. Those assets will survive, kicking the can down the road to become a greater threat to the USA.
Difficult to understand. Did he want to appear as the peacemaker and shining star of this war?
By all accounts, it seemed like Israel had a complete advantage and was just pummeling Iran. The only concerning evidence was the number of missiles impacting in Israel over the last few days - potentially indicating Israel running low on interceptors which are expensive and slow to replace.

It has been made abundantly clear time and time again that Donald Trump looks out for Donald Trump first and all other things are secondary. Rarely in his careers as a businessman and politician, has he shown that he is operating with an eye towards long-term outcomes.
He has already said several times that he deserves the Nobel peace prize for this, even though nothing definitive has been achieved.
As much as the Nobel committee was made fun of for awarding the prize to Barack Obama for doing nothing, apparently doing the same thing for Donald Trump would have much more meaning.
To me it means nothing other then giving it to one side w/o reason makes about as much sense as giving it to the other side w/o reason.... sort of balances out the universe, so to speak.
Outside of that, despite some posts here (not this one specifically, obv) strongly indicating otherwise, none of this has an easy solve. If that were the case, it would have been solved long ago.
While this feels like a positive step on the surface, who knows what unintended consequences lurk beneath. Hopefully those, too, remain positive but we really have no way of knowing.
