I run a mold testing company and I'm putting together a "Preferred Partners" page. But instead of paying for some bullshit link farm, I want to do this with actual local businesses run by people I know aren't idiots.


We all create a partners section on our sites featuring each other's businesses. Google's bots eat this stuff up because:


Real local companies (not fake sites). Actual external links. Legitimate business relationships, No meetings, no MLM crap, no ongoing commitments beyond keeping the links active.


I'm looking for other business owners who handle their own web stuff and want to build some external link credibility. Doesn't matter what industry - contractors, shops, services, whatever. Just needs to be legit and local.


You put me on your partners page, I put you on mine. Google sees real businesses linking to other real businesses and bumps us all up in rankings.

This was explained to me as being very important not just for traditional SEO but for the coming AI optimization. Google's search page is yesterday's news. Soon your favorite AI will find a business and book services for you without your having to scroll search results. I am trying to get ahead of the competition by creating AIO on my sites.
