Obama was slick, I'd even say treacherous in how he two-faced what he said vs. what he did - Biden, he allowed his administration to run amok - they weaponized the DOJ and other agencies even further than the Obama Administration.

Initially, I'd have agreed with you - how far is too far - but in retrospect, the left has ALREADY GONE THERE, so there is no fair playing field.

I'm not so sure you are right about how Kirk would feel - spend some time watching his podcasts, maybe he would have had a different approach, but I'm not so sure he'd have been "quite shocked" by the latest moves.

Last thing - if the left had tried to kill me twice, you can bet I'd be a bit more fired up. They censored President Trump, they came after him legally, they tried to ruin his businesses, and they tried to kill him. If they'd done that to any of us, would we be able to "fly above it all"? I can tell you I would struggle to take the highroad FOR SURE.
The pesky thing about rights is it matters naught who wants to trample them. If the justification for trampling is because other people trample, then they are all cut from the same cloth. That is something Kirk understood.

Because people support POTUS, they rationalize this which is CLEARLY against longstanding mores supposedly held by us all.

POTUS is a Trojan horse that has steered the party into a direction that ends in the wreckage of a once admirable platform. Whether or not he has his personal vendettas does not justify the true losses to the values once held.

In any event, RIP Kirk. He would've made for an influential and successful politician.
