    Default 1903 USGI trigger question

My son recently traded for a Rock Island 1903, no import marks and the stock is stamped RID with a circled proof P right behind the trigger guard. Nice!

It was pretty dirty but he got the bore & action cleaned up and we went out to shoot. Shot just fine, high at 100 but Man those sights are tough!
The only issue with the gun was the trigger, it has a correct milsurp trigger that should be a 2 stage, but it's a very light single stage pull.
I ordered a replacement trigger from SARCO, and just installed it and surprising to me, it's a single stage pull also, no 2 stages can be felt, no take-up, no wall, no release. Just a light single stage.
The bottom of the receiver where the trigger rides is flat, and looks normal.

What do you think, do I have 2 bad triggers or is it something else? What else could it be?
    Any assistance is appreciated

    Robb.

    Default

    It was the sear.
I replaced the sear and all is well.
I cant see any difference between the two sears, bit one gives me a single stage trigger and one gives me a two stage.

    Thanks for looking.
