I saw this in another thread that Stuart had posted, this gave me the idea to try it out. Thanks.

It was open to the public, first come first serve.

It was busy due to show traffic when I first went. Went back about an hour later with no wait. I was told then that the rifle range was closed. After shooting for a while I inquired if the rifle range had opened (brought my toys, figured since I was already there), they said no problem and I paid adn additional $21 and signed papers again. I received a little bit of a hard time about my "battle rifle", but it was in fun and games. If not, I still laughed it off. I tend to just fire back. No pun intended. LOL

I shoot there regularly - both pistol and rifle sides. Never had a problem - it's a good (indoor) place to shoot.

Just got back from Green Mountain, asked who I believe was the owner a few questions-

    Do you allow organized events?

    - Not really, range is too busy to tie up.

    AR-15 concerns?

    - None really, though 223 ammo tends to ricochet more, harder on the range (hardware, rails, lights, ect). An AR15 shooter tore up one one of the target rails.

Not set up for tactical shooting. The rifle lanes/range is 100 yrds, all shooting from supplied rests while sitting. Rests are adjustable. Light stops at 25/50/75/100 yards.

Fees - (this is good info folks) - $21 per half hour. If nobody is waiting for a lane, no additional charges for more than the 1st half hour. This is great! I first zero's my iron sights and the the scope on the AR, and was on the range for a complete hour, charged only for 1/2 hour.

Tell them you'll be zeroing with a laser boresighter so that they can ask folks coming onto the range if that will be a problem for them (shooting distraction).

How long is the pistol range there? Firing Line range fee is $12 but it is only 50ft long.

Front page of their website says it's 45 feet.

I've been there a few times, nice place. But the "no lead bullets and no steel jacketed bullets" rules kinda kill it for me. What's the point of loading up a bunch of LSWC target bullets if you can't use them? Or buying milsurp ammo for your Mosin? Even the pulled M2 ball bullets I have are magnetic. I'm not driving there just to be told I can't use my ammo.

I've been there a few times, I learned the hard way with my tinted shooting glasses (couldn't see-bought clear lenses for the next trip). I like going on Sunday evenings, place is usually quiet and they let me shoot to my heart's content. I do dislike their ammo policies (especially after they tore open several factory sealed boxes of my ammo) but I suppose they are protecting their investment. I'd recommend it, especially due to its location.
