    Default supplementary heaters

Lowe's has their annual clearance on heaters going on now. I picked up a small Mr. Heater last year for $40 and I picked up the bigger model today for $60. Today's buy was $70 but because it was the last one and I figured it was like a demo I got another $10 off. This was at the 136th Ave & I-25 store so no more Mr. Heaters. These are great heaters for when the power fails,I also have a kerosene tower for the really cold power outages.

I think the sale goes until the heaters are gone.

Been off the net for almost a week - the real world keeps getting in the way of me having a life! I got onto this site earlier and was just viewing the Survival/Preparedness Forum when the phone rang and I got called into work.

Yes, very good info. Thank you.

I'm not familiar with the kerosene tower you speak of. Can you elaborate?

Tower heater was bought about 5 years ago-DuraHeat 2304-it's a tall caged kerosene heater. Lowe's still had a few of those when I posted. I live in an older mobile home and this is a really good heater in the winter to help make it comfy.
I buy my kerosene at M&O for $23 per 5 gallons. Home Depot and Lowes sell their 5's for about $40. Everyone's first reaction is about odor with these but I find the new kero used now burns a lot cleaner. The only time I notice any odor is firing it up and shutting it off. Good Luck with the sale if your looking for heaters !

A couple of weeks ago I bought K1 clear at Chief Petroleum for $2.99 a gal. You should have someplace up there that is as cheap. Just a thought.

The one I've been going to is the cheapest source I've found-not many dealers in the Denver Metro area.
