Advice sought: Good place to rent/try out?

I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for a good place to try out a few handguns. I am looking at getting my first but want to be well informed and not treated like crap because I'm not Mr. Knows The Ins and Outs of Every Gun Ever Created Man.

The Firing Line In Aurora and Green Mountain range have rentals -

The Silver Bullet in Arvada has rentals as well. The Silver Bullet even has a picture of them all on their website.

Or ya could ask around here and show up at one of the shoots. I myself would have no problem letting you try one if I have it. I do not own any kind of Tupperware.

One thing no one has mentioned yet is that ONE person can't rent a gun at The Silver Bullet or The Firing Line. You have to have someone else with you.
