Take 76th East and get off on Pecos. Go left under the highway and almost immediately on your right is the Army Surplus store. They just got them in and they are $9.99. I got the gun metal/bronze color one.

It is nearly identical to the size of a 2.5" 12 gauge shell by the way.

I just picked up some new flashlights.

    Streamlight PT Series - PT1AA - 50 Lumens on 1AA battery

And the MicroStream, apparently its not new, been out a while.

I'm carrying it in my pocket, nice and small, has lasted a week or two with daily use and still doesn't need a replacement battery.

My requirements were Non-Rechargable, Alkaline compatible, small, bright. Love both of them so far. I'm carrying both to see if I like one better than another for daily use.

Mine has a defect though, the picture shows the pocket clip with slots in it for the lanyard attachment - mine doesn't have any slots to attach the lanyard. I didn't plan to use it, so it doesn't much matter.

FYI - Silver Bullet Gun Range is selling the Microstream for 16.95. Neves police store has them at 19.95.

I think I'll see about one of the PT2AA ones - 120 lumens! just bigger than what I want to carry probably.

I carry one of these Rayovac penlights in my shirt pocket, got it for under $3.00 at WalMart. Liked it so much, I bought 10 more, and gave out a few as gifts. I think it's the handiest damn penlight I've ever seen. It's not high-tech, but it's bright enough for lots of things, yet dim enough to use in the car while driving without affecting your vision. Battery lasts for months, single AAA. God only knows how many times I use mine every day, several dozen at least. They seem to be pretty damn tough too. It may not look like much, but for three bucks it's worth a try. Use it a few times, get used to having it handy, and you'll wish you'd had it years ago.

I have several of the streamlight Stylus, but they are just a bright LED and really don't light much up. I'm much happier with the microstream for just a bit more cost. Much better focused light output than just the pen lights.

(ps, I'll be selling my set of streamlight stylus lights soon, once they return from warranty repair)

Too many great options for lights now to deal with the cheap stuff I've bought over the years. I'm going to replace it all with modern LED lights. 20 lumens and up.
