Default 2010 Big Game Applications due on the 6th

just thought i would remind everybody that the application deadline for big game is the 6th.

i applied for every species there is. desert big horn, mountain goat, muzzleloading elk unit 2, archery deer, antelope, early rifle bear, archery moose.
this year i get an extra elk license for turning in a poacher. 2 archery elk tags (if i dont get the unit 2 muzzleloading), archery deer, and early bear makes for a busy september.

Thanks for the reminder. Nothing stinks like getting to the day after the cutoff and remembering!

I am putting in right now, just finalizing the details.

just getting PP for moose, sheep goat and bear.

doing muzzleloader for elk, rifle private property deer...should be BIG! not sure on archery or rifle antelope, heading out to a good area for this one so i want to get a big boy!

getting ready to do some turkey hunting on private property as well. first time turkey hunting this year!

that is awesome you got an extra tag for nailing a poacher! i have always wondered what their success was with that program, glad to know it works!

    thanks for the reminder!

but I got an over the counter and have private property to hunt on so it really doesn't matter

Only 2 more days until the deadline passes for getting those permit/preference point requests in.

Midnight April 6, 2010 is the date - don't miss out.

    Default Done & Done

I just finished putting in for this years ELK and Pronghorn. I am going to try a new place this year for Elk- unit 861 -anyone here have any luck there in the past? It looks like a great summer of scouting and camping. The online buying makes it so easy to add extra items like a small game license!

    "made of money"?

add up all the licenses i applied for and it doesnt even come to a grand. sheep, goat, moose are $254 each, deer, elk, bear, antelope all together add up to less than $200. goat i wont get, dont have enough points yet, got a goat in 2002 and couldnt apply again until 2008. desert bighorn is about a 1 in 2000 chance, moose is likely, but certainly not a given. so when it is all said and done all the licenses i buy for the year will probably not add up to $500.
