The one time I was there I was appalled at the prices of EVERYTHING in there, and this was LONG before any kind of panic or buying frenzy. It was obvious that it was a brand-new high-end place with huge overhead and expenses, and they intended to recover that with retail sales ASAP. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's certainly not conducive to getting business from anybody that happens to know what price they can pay for any given item elsewhere, and that price is a helluva lot less.

And when I found out you have to "apply" for an "appointment" to use their range, and then wait for your "turn" to use your closely monitored allotted range time.....screw that. Ain't been back, no plans to. Which is a shame because they're maybe 8-10 minutes from my house. But I'm a member at Ben Lomond, and I'd much rather make the drive there where I can spend the whole day in a range all to myself, doing what I want, shooting what I want, however I want, bring a lunch if I want, or spend the day scrounging brass if I want.

I'm certainly not part of their "target demographic", to say the least.
There's a lot more of us ugly mf'ers out here than there are of you pretty people!

Can't argue with you there. But they do seem to get all the high demand ammo on a somewhat regular basis (at least when I make the trip North and stop in) and the prices are competitive considering the current climate.

I wanted to go there for a while before I posted my review. It is pricey, they charge MSRP, but do occasionally have sales. They have a great selection of guns and lots of ammo and other accessories. They are selling 30 round mags now for under $20 and their ammunition prices seem competitive with what I have seen around and on-line

The membership is pricey. I wanted some place to join I could shoot my AR-15 (WW MP4)and my pistols (Xd 9mm, S&W 357, Sig-Sauer P238). I joined and got 6 guest passes for my wife. You get 6 passes each year. I took my wife there on the pass and she really liked it so we converted our membership to a couples one. She has been there 4 times now in 3 weeks. She really likes it because the range guys will always give her tips and instructions if she wants it. They are really top notch.

She also liked they have a ladies night twice a month. She went and the have snacks and a guest speaker to help educate them, they can try any of the rental guns for free (need to buy ammo) and the ladies go down for some range time and some on range tips.

She went again with one of her freinds and the range guy showed her how to clear her gun when it jammed

The range is nice, haven't had an issue with scheduling the 5 times we wanted to go. Found a lane at the time we were looking each time. Course we havent gone during the weekend mid day when it would seem to be busy. Weekday afternoons into evening have been pretty available for us.

They have started construction on the new facility. Today they had the fences up around the site and laid down the heavy rock for the construction vehicles to drive in and out. Spools of utility wire are waiting to be put in the ground. The are trying to be complete by thanksgiving.

With one exception, each and every person we have dealt with there was friendly and welcome. The one individual who was very grumpy one day was actually very friendly the next time I came in.

If price is your number one criteria, this isn't the place for you. If your willing to pay a bit more for good customer service and a place your wife would want to go , then this is the place for you. At least it has worked out for us and my wife is really into this now. She has her permit, found out some of her freinds also shoot and during one of their member sales bought a "gun toten mama purse" She really likes the helpfulness of the range staff and ladies night was a winner for her. If mommas happy, I get to be happy

I'm thinking that Building completion by Thanksgiving is very optimistic. We'll see...

We typically go Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. My recommendation to you, is a week out, schedule some times using the online reservation system. If you know you wont be able to make it, you can cancel it. If you plan on going at roughly the same time, each week, as soon as you finish your time and get home, schedule right away for the next week. I know this doesn't work for everyone, it's worked well for us, and if we realize we wont be able to make a time we always cancel to free it up for someone else.

I have done 1-2 days before every time we wanted to go and not had a problem. There are even 3 spots today that are available for an hour each. Took me a bit to know that "Lane Reservation- Member" was an open spot for members that they block off and I can reserve on line. "available" is for anyone who walks up

Really working on the new place now. Lots of construction going on. Looks like it will be sweet with 28 lanes
