Extremely nice facility with astronomically high prices. I know a retail store like that can't compete with Walmart pricing and I'm willing to pay a little more for ammo at a LGS to support those who support me but they're nearly 75% more expensive sometimes than the Wmart that is 90 seconds away from them that usually has a better selection than they do. I think their target customer has a lot more money than I do. Bummer because it's right across the street from my office.

I confirmed it the next morning with Bowers Tactical few miles down the street. I expected the problem to be solved with ease. After all, The gun store have been treating me right during the few range visit and other past purchases.

Was I wrong! First, they insisted the lowers were mil spec and that all serial numbered items are not refundable. So after arguing back and forth, I convinced the young man to pull one of their brand new LPK off the shelf and to show me how it's "done."

Well, not even the take down pin could fit into any of the 4 lowers.

Next, whom I assumed the manager took over the matter, but will not refund my money. I am ok with store credit as I dont feel like to waste anymore of my time there -- Nevertheless, he insisted that those out of spec AR-15 lowers were just fine. That just tickles me.

Well, another lesson learnt. I will not go to Centennial Gun Store for any kind of AR-15 related item or advice. There are too many good stores in the area.

Same story here, spent close to 6k in that store, and they would not honor the out of spec lower...
    Thanks,
    R

So, Just got back from checking out the club, shop, and membership…

    VERY DISAPPOINTED...

Mostly disappointed in the attitude of one of the sales staff and the person handling new memberships. The membership person did not give me their full attention, they continued to work on the computer rather than address my questions first. They also weren't very personable and a bit condescending in their tone. Didn't appear to me that they wanted or needed members. He also didn't seem to know all the member benefits and discounts as in what they entailed as I'd have to ask very specifically. I would think they'd try their best to pump up the club, but not so.

Then I overheard one of the salesman talking to a customer who was looking at one of their 50% off ARs. The salesman said he'd keep the upper and junk the lower… Okay I appreciate and want honesty. But if I was the shop owner, its not something I'd want from my employee to call our stuff crap... If the lower is indeed crap, then they should do something about the quality of the lower..

    Needless to say, I didn't join….

Last time I went in there dude begind the counter was wearing a plate carrier with spray painted mags, and tacti-cool gear out the yin-yang. Nothing wrong with plate carriers it just looked very show offy. I dont know how else to describe the feeling.
Meanwhile His fellow employee was demonstrating how to shoulder a rifle (read how NOT to shoulder a rifle) as he was fervently trying to do his best impression of Chris Costa.... with the rifles muzzle 6 ft from another customers head, not like within 6ft. But directly aimed at a person who up until that point was probably interested in purchasing something or another. Instead that customer looking annoyed stepped away as did I.

The fact that place is still in business amazes me. I stopped by recently to check out a particular brand of safe they had, then wasted some time looking around. Don't plan to go back.

Just finished my first set of reloads, and thinking of going in during lunch. Problem is that everyone I work with is always around, and I don't know how easy it will be for me to scoot in off the radar. I want to go when it's slow so I can get in, test my loads, and get out. Any advice?

That's not a bad idea. Anyone have a bald cap, a cane, and some super dark glasses I could borrow?

They did; they bought a whole lot of Double D Armory, LTD lowers, and used them in place of the "crap" ones.
