    Default Marlin 60 W

    I have heard the "w" equals walnut, but also Walmart, (for a run of rifles made for Walmart). I also have heard that the "w" 's could be walnut finish on a birch stock.
    Does anyone have any experience with this popular little rifle?

    The W does stand for walnut stock and it also should have a medallion and a golden trigger.

    Yep, I'm looking at one. I haven't been able to find much info on them or their worth. The medallion says "Safety, Ethics, Sportsmanship. Has the gold trigger and was made in 1996.
