Big +1 for Jay. Looking forward to seeing his new place. Wonder if it will be a store front or not?

Was with my boy at the driver's license place and we just happened to see Jay's store...The Shootin' Shack. Located at 311 E. County Line Rd in the OakBrook Shopping Center (County Line & Broadway). His store is still a lil bare, but he has a great selection of semi-auto handguns, and one rack of shotguns up. He said he will be getting a rack for the AR-15 type rifles soon.

Super friendly guy and pretty reasonable on prices. I can see doing a lil business with him down the road.

Jay is a good guy, he has been talking about opening a store for a while, glad he finally has done so. I will have to stop in and see him.

Great customer service at The Shootin' Shack.
I bought a XDm .45 with factory SA night sights on it from J last year. When I was shooting it the tube fell out of the front sight. I mentioned it to him and he said let me know what I wanted to do, he'd have a new one shipped out overnight. I had heard great things about SA's customer service so I sent it back to SA. I got it back and put another 75 rounds through it and one of the rear tubes fell out! WTF? I called SA and asked, if I sent it in again, would they put real Trijicons on it. They said sure, for $105.00.
(The SA sights use Trijicon tubes but are made by SA and they had a known problem with the tubes falling out. )

I wondered how long the third tube would last after I sent the slide back to SA. Instead I called J and asked about getting a new pistol. I explained the situation and he said it was no problem, Davidson's would send a new pistol. I called on a Thursday evening and I believe the pistol was waiting for me on Monday, I didn't make it down until Wednesday. When I went to exchange the pistol he assured me that it wasn't a problem as he and Davidson's stand behind what they sell. The new pistol was test fired in September 2011, I figure SA has resolved the tube issues by now and if they haven't I know any problems can be taken care of at The Shootin' Shack.

I have bought a XDm.45 a XD9sc and a Ruger GSR from J and I did shop around, he had the best prices I could find. Go by and check him out, he's a few doors down from the DMV off Broadway and County Line.

I decided on an XD(m) .45 standard frame. Did some shopping around for gun stores in the area online, since it was my first handgun purchase, and I'm new to CO. All the reviews of J&J were great of course, so I went down there to see what he had at his new store. Which of course, happens to be less than 5 minutes from where I work!

They were great to work with and talk to. I priced the same handgun, new and used at other stores in my area (didn't make it up to Jensen's), but Jay's was the best price. I bought it two weeks later

Now I've started USPSA and put around 600 rounds through it without any problems. The next time I want to buy a gun, I'm going to Jay first.
