I think the Conjuring might be one of the scariest movies I have seen. Right up there with Insidious. Both so-so movies but scary.

District 9 was awesome. Lol. Best waste of time ever.

I also thought The Conjuring was pretty good. Almost up there with The Exorcist. Horror movie guys should check out The Orphanage by Gilermo Del Torro. Decent scary movie, but better than so-so movie IMO.

You will like the book but it is a shame that so many will not get the punchline from reading. He did a great job of hiding it in the book where the movie was limited in time. There is an entire subplot the movie did not even touch on that will get you though.

Never saw In Time... Not sure if I want to either, but Elysium is hilarious how it's a criticism on the rich, celebrity, ruling class, which is exactly where Matt Damon, Neil Bloomkamp and Jodie Foster are classified. Leftist hypocritical attitudes never cease to amaze me.

After seeing trailers for this, I read the book first. The novel was simple and straight forward but kept me very engaged. I would recommend the first book to anyone from junior high on up. The movie edited so much detail form the story it seemed rushed and choppy. As for the other four books in the series they are a very different read. I'm on book four of five and will be done with his books after that.
