This looks exciting. Better at least then the first one.

Being born and raised in HI and surfing until I left, I have a lot of respect for Laird Hamilton. But saying it's an honor to be associated with the first Point Break movie makes me question his perspective. I did enjoy the behind the scenes aerial footage of Chopo. So bad ass!
Watched Winchester 73 tonight.
"There are no finger prints under water."
Bought tickets for the family to see Hotel Transylvania 2 next Saturday. My kid loved the first one and I liked it too. Wreck it Ralph is also fun.
Watched the restored "Lawrence of Arabia" on Netflix last night. Forgot how long that movie was.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.
My son and I watched Zardoz the other night.

1974 produced some odd movies, and Sean Connery has done his share of strange movies. Perhaps a bit too Marxist/Socialist dystopia for my taste.
We watched Nightcrawler with Jake Gyllenhaal tonight. I'd say I agree with the just over 3 star rating it gets on Netflix. Gyllenhaal does an okay job playing a weirdo and while the movie is a bit predictable, there are some decently intense parts.
I saw The Vanishing with Jeff Bridges and Kiefer Sutherland. It also had Sandra Bullock as a significant part, but it was before she was famous and isn't even mentioned in the cast of characters in the tv description. Anyway, for being an early 90's (1993) film, it was surprisingly decent. Jeff Bridges did an excellent job playing a complete whack job. I guess it was a remake of a French film by the same title released in 1988.
Reading the portion about the film's reception on Wiki makes me want to watch the original. haha.
This remake was poorly received and almost universally seen as inferior to the original, with particular criticism for its new happy ending.[2]Variety called it "schematic and unconvincing" [3] while Time Out 's Nigel Floyd called it "a misjudged, lobotomized Hollywoodremake."[4] Mark Kermode would later summarise that "the original was about the banality of evil, but the remake became about the evil of banality. It was a mess." [5] Salon.com named the film as the worst remake of all time.[6] The movie currently holds a 47% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 34 reviews.

I saw Sicario a couple weeks ago and thought it was excellent. Other than the fact I thought the girl would eventually grow a pair, the end was a little predictable. Definitely worth a few dollars and a few hours to see it on the big screen- especially the extended night vision scene. That was cool.
Saw "The Last Witch Hunter". Not my favorite genre, but entertaining. Worth waiting until it hits Netflix.
