Been taking the opportunity to enjoy my OLED TV a lot lately and at the moment am enjoying Dangerous Days: Making Blade Runner. I always enjoyed Blade Runner, even the oft-lamented theatrical release, but this documentary (longer than the movie itself!) really gives me greater appreciation for the movie.
Other stuff I've been watching and enjoying since I got the new TV:
Regular Movies
- A Bridge Too Far
- The Godfather
- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
- Gladiator
- Goldfinger
- Thunderball
- On Her Majesty's Secret Service
- For Your Eyes Only
- Casino Royale
- Quantum of Solace
- Skyfall
- Top Gun
- Patton
- The Outlaw Josey Wales
- Fiddler on the Roof
- Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Mini-Series
- From the Earth to the Moon
- Band of Brothers
TV Shows
- Babylon 5
- Space: Above and Beyond
Anime
- Ghost in the Shell (both original and 2.0)
- Space Brothers (if you're a fan of the space program, this is really a good series)
- Super Dimensional Fortress Macross
- Bubblegum Crisis
- Time of EVE (another thought-provoking story on what the nature of life is)
I watched the three Daniel Craig 007 films in an attempt to get myself interested in Spectre. Nothing doing. I hate the scripts and loathe Craig's rendition of Bond. George Lazenby on the other hand was underrated just because that film was so slow. On the bright side, every time I see From the Earth to the Moon, it is more magical. What an incredible piece of work and tribute to the men and women that made the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions happen. It's a freaking crime that it's been more than 40 years since we last stepped foot on the moon and be another 10 years or more before we can do it again.
70" of 4k OLED goodness = OMG! Can't wait for the market to catch up.

"I have to return some video tapes"
OLED is AMAZING. If the source is good, I'm still in awe after six months of acclimation.
Previous TVs were Pioneer Elite Plasma and Samsung Plasma. The Elite series being the highest rated TVs from CNET for years until the LG OLED. Only wish my space was larger so I could get a bigger one.
I use Expert 1 w/ no adjustments for most of my viewing. I assume Expert 2 is identical. Both being user settings for the user to adjust. CNET stated this was closest to their optimal settings.

I can't remember the difference between the 15' and 16' models, but it wasn't even close to pay the extra for the newer model for my needs. When I bought they were giving a $200 Amazon Gift card and Prime points. I also purchased Square Trade warranty for $130 and delivery was free, scheduled and inside my house. I think they would have set it up for me as well. They are not heavy at all.

Sounds like a popular TV, I'm jealous. Between the NFA stuff and my jeep, I'll have to see if I can put one on lay away. Lol!
