Just watched The Losers. An excellent example of a summer action movie.
Super predictable plot with plenty of holes. Ridiculous shooting sequences. Mediocre one-liners. All that being said, it was still mostly enjoyable to watch. I expect that is pretty much how The Expendables will be.

It's not. It's worse. Not that I was expecting much.

Of the 'big three' that I just decided upon, I would rank them:

    1. The Losers
    2. The A-Team
    3. The Expendables.

Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke and Arnold Schwarzenegger in one movie? That's a perfect recipe for the dialogue being mummernummer nummer nummer.

Hmmm, even though I fully anticipated The Expendables being crappy, I still wanted to see it. I never wanted to see The A-Team. Oh well.

Shifting gears, has anyone seen The Crazies? I expected it to be worse than Zombieland. Is that about how it was?

I liked Zombieland and the Crazies. Zombieland was closer to being 'a classic' whereas Crazies was just an enjoyable waste of a couple of hours, but sometimes that's all you need.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I expected Zombieland to be much worse than it actually was.

I watched KICK ASS just because of what I read here. That movie is funny as hell.

So I watched Hot Tub Time Machine last weekend, and She's Out of My League a few days before. I thought both were pretty good, but laughed a lot harder at the 'funny parts' in She's Out of My League. I found Hot Tub Time Machine to be more endearing than anything, even though I don't really remember most of the 80's.

Zombieland was freakin' hilarious! Even my wife was laughing at Woody's lines. He had some great quotes.

I want to see The Crazies still, since I'm a huge Romero fan, which makes me a little hesitant though...

Agreed. Bill Murray's part in the movie was hillarious too!
