    "Da 5 Bloods"

I'm curious to see what others here think of it. It was part part of the Netflix "BLM Collection" so I figured I'd watch it to see that perspective. I would never have paid to see this.

Actually, I thought it was OK. Not a great movie at all, but OK IMHO.

The only rub was the Trump references if that bothers you. They felt forced, like someone said "Hey, we should throw in a couple of MAGA hat references and bash Trump a little here and there". It seemed sophomoric and unnecessary.

If this movie came out in 2009 during Obama's term there would have been no references to today's politics, because it really had very little to do with today's politics. This movie blatantly shows Spike Lee's bent. He just had to shove something up Trump's ass.

Kind of sad. The movie's premise of getting their guys remains and the gold at the same time could have been done so much better. But BLM man...gotta push the leftist agenda.,

Captive State is a surprisingly good sci-fi. It’s on Showtime right now. Take the French Resistance who fought against the Vichy French government and the Nazis, but have it take place in Chicago post alien invasion.

An old favorite "Drums Across the River"

Audie Murphy, Walter Brennan, Lisa Gaye, Jay Silverheels.

Great part for Walter Brennan, Lisa Gaye, one of the beauties of the era and a Denver native, Jay Silverheels aka Tonto in "The Lone Ranger".

Netflix, right? Everyone should watch this. We're being manipulated.

I enjoyed it, some great actors, good plot. Agreed, could have been done better, without the political spin.

At times some typical Hollywood schtick which really make you wonder, WTF?.

An observation about "Magnum Force" which has been getting a lot of play recently on various satellite channels, watched it again tonight. After watching it so many times I can't count I'm still perplexed by the death scene of the last bad motor cop. He attempts a jump while chasing Harry and ends up going off the deck of the ship in what appears to be from a definitely survivable height. The film cuts to Harry looking at the water and cuts back to the dead guy floating face down. Seriously?? Possibly the lamest film death? I know, it's only a movie but that scene always makes me shake my head.

Phenomena - PPV on Amazon prime. Recommended. Covers a lot of well documented unidentified phenomena very well in chronological fashion, from 1940s stuff into the 2000s including the declassified tic-tacs.
