ok, a couple of days ago watched the proposal. had a couple of small laughs but for the most part a lame chick flick.
today watched showtime on cable. not the channel, the eddie murphy bob deniro flick. horrible, shitty, worthless anti gun piece of shit. on of the worst films I've ever seen deniro in. (or seen, period)
however, one scene made me laugh out loud. eddie murphy gets out of his flashy corvette and slides across the hood trying to show off, and deniro says real cops don't slide across the hood.
mruphy asks why not, and deniro points at the hood and replies because your holster scratches the hell out of the paint job.
murphy looks back and sees a huge gouge in the hood of the nice car.
that was awesome.
the rest was utter shite. if they had stereotyped and marginalized blacks or gays or anyone else as badly as they did guns and gun owners in that film it would have been banned.
Watched Life as a House last night. Awesome film. Weird I had never heard of it before

I couldn't help but to laugh at The Proposal.
We also finally watched Inception (on our slightly newer, slightly smaller, but much better TV) and I loved it. I watch movies like Inception, and wonder why people even bother making all those other shitty movies. Obviously it is for the money.
I'm going to have to go back through this thread until I can find the discussion on that movie.
"There are no finger prints under water."
so I just watched the expendables.
it was meh, neat action but otherwise pretty stupid.
you can always tell when sly stallone is a driving force in production, because the plot develops holes big enough to drive one of judge dredd's flying motorcycles through.
Giselle ItiƩ is pretty freakin' hot tho.
The expendables... At least the guns were nice...
The proposal I thought was a good movie. Sandra Bullock is just damn sexy. The Blind side was good also.
Has anyone seen the new movie Red?

I've seen most of it. It was a good funny movie with funny movie action in it. It was better than Expendables.
"There are no finger prints under water."
You have seen most of it? Did you walk out of the theater?
I just rented "The other guys" on bluray from the redbox. I will see how that is.

Took the boy to see Tron at the Imax. Our first modern Imax experience. A great movie to pay the extra for 3D. I won't be wasting money on Imax anymore. I think I was expecting a screen 3 times the size that wraps around more like the old school museum Imax (midnight Pink Floyd laser shows). Regardless, The movie was absolutely mesmerizing. I can look around the plot holes and goofy "Bowe-esque" character midway through.
Salt- Angelia Jolie, La Fem Nikita.....hmmm... not bad till it climaxed in the implausible 'basement' scene.
Inception, Pretty cool. I try to avoid DiCaprio, even though he really didn't act much in the movie, but couldn't avoid it. Worth watching!
The Other Guys was so stupid I didn't make it past the first 15 minutes. Then I accidently returned the red box movie to the library and it took me 10 days to get it back from the library. So I ended up spending $10 for that stupid movie!
