Glad I finally watched this clip Ridge. Not usually something I would get excited about, but I'll see anything related to Guiermo Del Torro.

The movie started off a little slow, but the action picked up, and the scenery didn't fail to please. I like how they added some of the "assumed sub-plots" that weren't really in the book. Now another year until part deux...

I'd probably give it a 9/10 just because the sounds was a bit off in the theater. It may have been the spot I was sitting, but certain dialogues were a little hard to hear. Bubba next to me, slurppin on his big gulp and nachos, probably didn't help much.
    Which version did you see?

It was the standard version, not the iMax or 3D. I heard the 3D version was making people nauseous.

I can't do 3D, it gives me a headache... I can't wait to see this movie- I just need to set aside 3 1/2 hours to go watch it... Where does one find that kind of time when Christmas is near?

In other news, the Les Misarables remake looks awful... Then again, most musicals (with the exception of anything South Park- or by those guys- and the Producers) are awful.

I'm watching this now. So kick ass so far.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but End of Watch was a great movie. Just watched it this week.

I saw that twice in theaters, I really enjoyed it... problem is, and I'll be a man and admit it, I'm a little prejudiced against Mexicans (the stereotypical gang banger kind- I have no issue with the "can function in everyday society" kind), and that movie made me hate them just a little more.

Anyone else been to see "Jack Reacher" yet? We saw and really like it. Wouldn't mind seeing it again actually.

Stay the hell away from "Cold Light of Day"- just because it has Bruce Willis and Sigorney Weaver in it, doesn't mean it's good... It's pretty terrible. One scene that stood out was when the main character picked up a pistol and as he was standing up he pulled the trigger and nearly blew his foot off... Ridiculous and stupid movie.

    Watched Skyfall over the weekend.

Daniel Craig is quickly becoming my second favorite Bond (can't envision a scenario where Sean Connery ever falls from first position).

SPOILER ALERT (highlight text between lines to read)

With Dame Judi Dench dying at the end and the new M being Ralph Fiennes, I'm really looking forward to the next Bond movie.
