We liked This Is 40 a lot. Haven't seen anything great for a while. Anyone seen The Place Beyond the Pines yet?

I saw This is 40 recently, and liked it too. I just watched Gangs of New York last night. Badass movie. Not sure how I managed to miss it for so long.

Watched the Pines last week-not what I expected-not too bad a movie.

Haven't posted here lately because I haven't seen any decent movies.

Lincoln was okay. Daniel Day Lewis did his usual superb job. Someone didn't watch the Ken Burns documentary. There was more to the Civil War than slavery.

Jack Reacher was usual Tom Cruise far. A sock puppet could have done a better job. Werner Herog played a decent villain but all I could think about was him narrating Cave of Forgotten Dreams after he opened his mouth. Robert Duvall stole the show, as usual.

Going back in time, The World's Fastest Indian still rocks.

For those who have not seen or watched it in a long time, I suggest DAS BOOT German version anglish sub titles. A post from last month mentioning a polish movie with sub titles turned a (smalll) light on in the brain cavity and figured i remind folks of another Great WWII flick

We're deciding on I-3 or Star Trek for a matinee monday. Probably see I-3 as it has been out a few weeks.

Quite possibly the most underrated movie I've ever seen.

Just finished Moonrise Kingdom on HBO. This movie is good to go if you are a Wes Anderson fan. About to start Behind the Candelabra.
