It was NOT. Do not waste your time or attention.

We can deal with B films. We can even make fun of some of the shows that try so hard to take themselves seriously but fail. Sadly, this show was slow. S-L-O-W. I suspect the director had only a passing knowledge of what Westerns were comprised of, so the actors were told to speak their lines slowly, and have significant pauses in between their lines to sound thoughtful. Ignore the fact that Kansas looks NOTHING like Arizona (which is where this was filmed ignore the fact that the clothing was shiny and new while the actors had smudges of dirt and grime on their faces, to demonstrate hard work on a 'ranch'. What kind of ranch, I have no idea because there was no indication of anything but a fence where perpetual horses waited in their bridles and saddles, no matter the time of day or night. Maybe it was a dirt ranch, since there was dirt and dust blowing almost nonstop.
The daughter spoke with a twangy accent. The rest of the family did not.

There was a bunch more fussy stuff that kept throwing me out of the story, but the sub-par acting topped the list. I really, REALLY wanted to like this show, but I could not stomach more than 20 minutes.

We watched John Wick afterward, to recalibrate our blunted movie expectations.
    That's what Metacritic.com is for.

Oops! Sorry. Old Wheat Ridge Alum before his time. Heard about him while I was in the service.

We saw the remake of The Magnificent Seven. It was well done, although it will never replace the original. Peter Skarsgaard is getting typecast as the bad guy a lot, and he's just not got the screen presence or the charisma to pull it off, IMO.

Took me five attempts but I finally managed to get through "Batman vs Superman". Possibly the worst superhero movie ever made.

I'd say if you had to choose between watching this or going shopping for clothes with your wife you should choose the shopping trip.

LOL. I rarely get to watch a movie and I saw this the other night and thought the EXACT same way when it was over.
