I read the book awhile ago and then saw the movie when it came out so I knew what to expect. Very dark,depressing plot but I enjoyed it because it followed the book pretty good.

I haven't read the book, but as Lefty said, the movie is VERY dark and depressing - but I rather enjoyed the movie since I found the plot to be quite believable.

The GF found it sad that the world could actually be like that, and there is a possibilty of it playing out the same way.
