    Jays age

    the docking crew......

And heres one I have to share..........
Greg and Bob left Tuesday for a wedding in Montana. Guess Greg was on the prowl................

    all for now

All 9 of us were shooting different 223's from flat top 24 inch ar's to bolt actions. Only 1 guy was shooting a 308 and since then he has bought a 223 bot gun. Most of are shots are anywhere from 10 feet to 1 mile. Most are under 500 yards though. We prefer the 55 and 60 grain V Max canned heat specials from www. georgia-arms.com
Each of us went thru at least 300 rounds

Bushmaster ar,s flat top 24in 3 of them
bushmaster standard 20 inch 7 of them
    DPMS flat top
    ruger m77 223
    remington 700 223 2x
    savage 223
    numerous hanguns from 22 to a 460

for you guys that want to head up to wyoming and melt out a barrel ; - )
head into the shirely basin area with a gazzetter atlas and prowl around on BLM land
I try to get up there a couple times a year and my 1999 4runner does just fine
in wyoming you can shoot just about anything that's not big game or upland and no small game tag is required
public land access is MUCH MUCH easier than colorado

Wolffo, I'm not familiar with Wyoming except Laramie, Cheyenne etc. Is there a town around there I can Google?

    Thanks for the tip!

Lot of checker board public land in shirley basin.
Make sure you understand Wyoming law.

They can confinscate your vehicle and guns.
Depending on where you are in shirley basin. You would either be Carbon County or Albany County.

    Enjoy

from laramie head toward medicine bow, then north to shirely basin

the wyoming laws provide that even if BLM land is leased the lessor cannot keep you off the public land (not so in colorado)

if you come across a gate on BLM land you are free to go thru it
if the gate is closed close it back
if the gate is open leave it open

if you KNOW you are on BLM land and a rancher tries to bluff you off...tell him to call the sheriff and you'll wait
I've been up in that area for years and have never run into any problems, lots of land, lots of stuff to shoot

take the time to study the maps and go for it

dont let other's insecurities infect you

    Default wyo fish and game

the rangers in the cheyenne office are a great resourse
    give them a call

I've never been, but the thunder basin grasslands are supposed to be good shooting too
as i understand it the area was closed at one point due to it being hit too hard by shooters
    dunno the status lately
but the rangers can dial you in on that area
