    That would make sense too if it was a 2000 pack date, and 3 years would have date below possibly be 03/11 (YY/MM)? Weird. Silly govt. and their numbering schemes...

    I think they 2008, the pictures are not clear but I just verified the first digit is an 8, not a zero and that fits with the 3 year inspection date.

    I found some C-Rats out in the desert on Ft. Bliss in 1980 that had been packed in 1952. Used my P-38 and ate them. Still fine.

    The transition to MRE's was great. I really like MRE's especially compared to Beef with Spice Sauce.
