Default Sig 522, I like it!

So I finally got me one of these and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. It seems to be living up to its reputation for reliability. In the two days I've had it, I've put about 500 rounds of Federal bulk through it with zero malfunctions (and no cleaning). I also like the fact it tears down like a 'real' firearm. No screws, no tools, just pop 2 pins and it comes apart. This was obviously designed from the start as a firearm and not an air-soft toy.

My only real complaint is the cost of irons. Iron sights cost half the price I paid for the rifle! I think that's a bit crazy for a 22lr. Hopefully some aftermarket company will eventually make a reasonably priced front sight for it.

It's no zombie killer, but I see this becoming my weapon of choice when cans or clays need killing.

I like mine as well. I found a Midwest Industries front sight at Brownell's for $78(Midway has them also). The MI sight allows you to use any AR-15 rear sight. I had a DPMS A2 rear in my parts box and it works well. The factory SIG front sight will only work with the SIG rear sight that goes for $264.
