Anyone taken the basic CCW course from them?
    What was your opinion?

I took the CCW class from them a little over a month ago and enjoyed it. Two guys taught it and switched back and forth between legality and strategy. They were good speakers who were knowledgeable and funny.

If you are a serious shooter who has read all of the CRS code and whatnot you will likely know everything they cover in the class. In the end you get your cert. to show the Sheriff so it's worth it.

All in all, I'd recommend them.

That is what I needed to know, thanks.
I have an opportunity to get a discount coupon to take their class for $39 rather than $80.

Yeah I took the class from them. It was fun. I got one of them on my Facebook now. I'd suggest taking it, it meets the requirement and was fairly entertaining.

I signed up for the class on August 30. We will see how it goes.

I took the class. It was OK.
Gave the Sheriff the forms and fees.
They tell me that CBI has been taking the full 90 days to give the approval.
    The wait begins.

Filthy liars. They won't even look at your stuff until around day 70.

That is the way it usually works. When there is a lot of work to do or under staffing, etc. most of the time lost is waiting in queue, not the actual work.
